DJ Khaled just became Hip Hop’s latest producer to enter the podcasting scene. “The First One” will show DJ Khaled interviewing other fellow Hip Hop artists about their classic hits that made them who they are in the music industry. Appearances from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Big Sean, and Kelly Rowland are also scheduled to be on the upcoming podcast.
“The First One” will air on October 15 only on Amazon Music in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan. Other Amazon Music original shows will be hosted by Becky G, Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, Dan Patrick, and many more.

In the first episode, Lil Wayne analyzes the industry around him during the production of “Tha Block is Hot,” and how it educated him to always be prepared for the opportunities. He then evaluates how growing up in New Orleans influenced the song that would gradually change his life. Lil Wayne also discussed his long history with DJ Khaled, he then spoke about the artists who’ve inspired him throughout his career such as Cee-Lo Green, Jay Z, and Missy Elliott. The rapper then clarifies how the Hot Boy album, motivated other songs that define his whole career.
