R&B Star Set to Continue Popular Web Series
The popular Verzuz series is continuing its new tradition of music excellence by announcing that R&B fan-favorite D’Angelo would be the next artist to make an appearance.
Last month, the Ashanti & Keyshia Cole finally had their Verzuz after several postponements. Even with the delays, the Libra ladies delivered a show that all their fans enjoyed.
The next Verzuz has been titled “D’Angelo v Friends” and the show will be filmed at the famous Apollo Theater in New York City.
There have been no announcements at this time as to who will join D’Angelo for the Verzuz but his presence alone has excited fans of 90’s R&B. The event is set to air February
Creating a New Norm for Listening
For people who love live music, the Coronavirus Pandemic has limited the ability to have shows.
However, when Swizz Beats and Timbaland started the Verzuz series with a song battle between the two of them, fans of music embraced the concept of the shows right away.
With each Verzuz viewership and support has increased immensely leading to the brand partnering with Apple Music to stream the events with a better camera and sound quality.

By the numbers, Verzuz has proven to be a popular viewer-magnet. Examples of their great viewership can be seen in Gucci Mane Verzuz Jeezy (1.8 million views) and Ashanti Verzuz Keyshia Cole (1.1 million views).
The appeal of the series for viewers is that they can become reacquainted with their favorite artist. Artists benefit from the Verzuz because their individual streaming stats also increase by a significant number.
Many of the artists that participate in the Verzuz are established acts that began their career in a different era of music. Artists can use the Verzuz platform to connect to a younger generation of listeners.
