DaBaby is suspected to be teaming up with “flashing lights” mogul Kanye West for a possible new Hip-Hop hit for his upcoming album. Let’s be honest, 2020 has been a crazy year for Mr. West and his brand, along with his hopes of becoming America’s first-ever Yeezy President.
Even though Kanye West hasn’t received his masters yet, he has been focused on coming out with new music. He has also been putting his latest YZY-GAP partnership as his top priority. West officially released his second single on Friday titled, “Nah, Nah, Nah.”
Last Sunday (Oct. 18) Kanye shared a text message between him and DaBaby
In a Twitter thread, the “Rockstar” rapper paid his respects to the music legend and promised to hop on whatever Ye had sent to him.
“DABABY TURNED THIS VERSE AROUND SO QUICK ITS INSPIRATIONAL TO SEE HOW FAST WE CAN MOVE AS A PEOPLE. I HAD TO GIVE YALL AT LEAST A SNIPPET,” he captioned of an animated painting of a skull with long white hair and a flopped-out tongue. “Let me get ’em Ye/ They gonna hate on me anyway,” DaBaby raps over the catchy trap beat and bop-like trilling flutes. “They only call me when they have a bill to pay/ Ain’t nobody asks me how I feel today.”
A few months earlier, West shared many ideas of his desire to work with Lil Baby. Following the tweet, Lil Baby was spotted in the studio with West in Wyoming.
On the other hand, 2020 has been in favor of DaBaby. After taking his crowned spot as Rap’s rookie of the year in 2019, he topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts with “Rockstar” for seven weeks. Even after these weeks, it remains a spot in the top 10. The Charlotte rapper has openly expressed his support for West’s presidential campaign as well.
