Uncle Luke Speaks Up
Uncle Luke has officially had enough when another year has gone by without Rock And Roll Hall of Fame noticing him. This is upsetting especially when he is known as one of hip-hop’s key pioneers.
His hard work has remained unnoticed and it is finally time to say, enough is enough. Luke went on Instagram to post about the situation.
“Shit another year of not getting inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,” he writes on Instagram, “Unbelievable.”
There is honestly no excuse for it either being he exceeds the requirements. In order to be eligible, you must have a debut project that is at the very least 25 years old.
2 Live Crew’s debut album, “The 2 Live Crew Is What We Are” was released in 1986 so they have been eligible for quite some time now.
The 60-year old remains unnoticed by the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, however, 4 years ago back in 2017 he was noticed by BET and earned the Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Here it is Ladies and Gentlemen my iamhiphop Lifetime Achievement Award from the Entertainment Industry that I love so much but have always been snubbed,” he wrote.
“I came straight home to show my son Blake but he was sleep. I’ve been waiting 35 years for this I want to thank new boss at #bet Connie Orlando Jesse Collins Debra Lee for this Honor,” he finished.
