Tory Lanez Lends A Hand

Tory Lanez dropped by at the Long Beach non-profit on Friday to meet some of the families who will benefit from his donation. Unite The People provides legal services to low-income people and ensures that they have a fair chance in the judicial system.

Tory Lanez gave 50k to help

Tory Lanez is said to have donated $50,000 to the initiative, which will help 50 families pay legal bills to have their loved ones released from jail.

The rapper has served on the board of Unite The People for two years and says he was motivated to donate after learning about the challenges many of the families were facing, including the inability to bring their loved ones home.

Tory and his team are reportedly assisting persons facing criminal and post-conviction sentences, with a particular focus on those who have been unfairly convicted owing to racial or financial inequities.

Bail Money

Previously, with his surprising attendance at Rolling Loud, Tory had to pay extra bond money after reportedly violating a court order to keep away from Megan Thee Stallion. Despite the fact that he may have to pay a doubled fine, he will not be imprisoned.

Tory has not served any jail time for violating the restraining order that required him to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan, according to a representative from the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on Monday (August 23rd). Tory only had to pay $250,000 in bond, which was previously set at $190,000.

Tory also had to pay an extra $60,000 to avoid going to jail. At the time, the Toronto rapper-singer (who also appeared in court in person today in Los Angeles) was barred from attending any events where Megan would be present. If Tory disobeys these demands, he will be remanded or put into custody, according to reports.
