The Rap Game is an American reality television series. The series premiered on January 1, 2016, on Lifetime. Ever since the last season, there has been no talk of another season. Even though this may be true many of the TV show’s contestants moved on and are now “house names” in the rap industry. Here at DSHH, we will be ranking the most successful Rap Game’s contestants.
The Rap Game: Tyler Reign #3
Reality television star and rapper recording artist Tyler Reign comes at number 3 on our list. She has been coming out with new music ever since her announcement as Season’s winner. She then found fame after winning season five of the Lifetime competition series The Rap Game. She also launched the company Mini-Mogul in order to help youths reach their dreams. She has uploaded her first music video to YouTube in July 2014. She has accumulated 113.7k Instagram Followers and 20.1k Youtube subscribers. Tyler Reign is still signed to So So Def.
The Rap Game: Street Bud #2
Coming in at number 2 is Season’s 4 winner Street Bud came into the show at only 13 to begin the journey of his life long dream of becoming ATL’s rap phenomenon. Growing up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his single mother motivated him and gave him a passion for rapping. At the age of 11 Street Bud has been rapping about his life. He began his career in August 2015 when he began posting original music to his self-titled YouTube channel. He then shot to fame after winning season four of the Lifetime reality show The Rap Game in 2018. Street Bud’s YouTube channel has attracted an amazing 148k subscribers while his Instagram is at 531.01k followers. Music videos such as “No Cap” and “Having it” gave him over 500k views. While growing his fan base he eventually caught the eye of Quavo from the Migos who signed him and now is mentoring him. Soon after they did a song together called “Open House. “Wow this is a blessing like this is something crazy, this is something I dreamed of,” he said of working with Quavo. Street Bud has also released his new album Back 2 the Lab, back in February. It is the first album dropped that the rapper has released since signing to QC and Quavo’s Huncho imprint last March. The project includes verses by the Migos rapper as well as Sheck Wes, Lil Donald, Da Daytona Ox, and Dunk.
The Rap Game: Mulatto #1
And the number 1 spot goes to Big Latto and is now known as Mulatto. In the year 2016, Mulatto had first started her rapping career. At the age of 16, she had been crowned the winner of The Rap Game’s very first season. Even though she did receive the chain and was signed to So So Deaf, this did not last long due to Jermaine Dupri not offering a good deal. With an event like this, you would expect a bad outcome but this was just the cherry on top to create one of ATL’s most popular female rappers. In the month of March Mulatto got signed to RCA Records, and from there she hit the Billboard Top 100 charts with “B*tch From Da Souf” which peaked at #95. “B*tch From Da Souf” was also turned to the legendary remix featuring rappers Saweetie and Trina. As well as reaching Billboard Top 100 she also made a follow up single “Muwop” featuring Gucci Mane. Mulatto has also worked with Janelle Monae and 2 Chainz in the past and she’sthe first solo female rapper from Atlanta with a certified gold plaque.
