The Weeknd Accused Of Not Crediting Producers On Call Out My Name

Did The Weeknd Steal A Song?

Looks like The Weeknd is being accused of ripping producers, Henry Strange and Suniel Fox off on his popular song Call Out My Name.

The duo claim a few years back in 2015 they made the instrumental song VIBEKING.

The single was then released in 2017, and the two well-known producers claim before they released their song they and PNDA aka The Weeknd’s DJ linked.

PNDA loved the track so much he wanted The Weeknd to hear it, and in fact the star did love it.

“Just gonna tell [The Weeknd] that our production team wrote the track. Cool? Or u have another idea? Just don’t wanna say ‘hey, [Strange] wrote this’ when he doesn’t know u, ” PNDA tells Henry Strange.

“[The Weeknd] knows me. Say both. [Strange] with Ponytail you met on Drake tour. Who is part of our production team,” Hnery responded back.

The Beginning Of The Problem

In 2018 is when My Dear Melancholy was released.

The Weeknd

The first track on the album is Call Out My Name, the track the two producers claim is from VIBEKING.

In the list of producers Henry Strange and Suniel Fox were not included, and only included The Weeknd, Frank Duke, and JAAR.

The two claim they have received no type of credit or licensing for the track.

The two want to prevent the platinum single from being distributed, exploited, and performed until a solution is found, and an agreement is formed.

Strange and Fox are also looking for all the profits made from Call Out My Name in addition to legal fees.
