Houston Rapper Scarface has announced that he is in need of a kidney. Earlier this year the Houston rapper announced that he had Covid-19. As a result of COVID, he was placed on dialysis due to kidney failure. Back in April, Scarface spoke on his battle with COVID, he said: “I fought COVID double bilateral pneumonia, both lungs, and kidney failure in my house. I just got out of the hospital Monday [April 20]”.
Scarface was released from the hospital but had to follow strict guidelines. When talking about the changes he would have to make he said the following. “I gotta change my entire diet, I gotta do dialysis four days a week, three hours a day. That’s taking all my blood out, cleaning it and putting it back in my body” He went on to describe the symptoms he had while having COVID, he said “I couldn’t keep food down, I couldn’t get comfortable, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t stay woke, I could not breathe. It was the worst time of my life.
Scarface said he didn’t have kidney issues prior to having COVID. Since contracting COVID, he’s lost about 30 pounds. Since all of the complications with COVID, Scarface took to twitter to announce that he is indeed in need of a kidney. “I need a kidney yall any volunteers? B+ blood type”
Face later updated his twitter and said the actual blood type didn’t matter, and the doctors would be able to place him with any doner. Hopefully, the legendary rapper is able to get the medical attention he needs to continue living life. The coronavirus has claimed 200,00 American lives, and that number is continuously growing. Hopefully once Face is able to get the transplant he needs, he can be an advocate for others that may need a kidney transplant.
