Remy Ma is expected to star in a BET+ original film in the near future. The debut of American Gangster Presents: Big Fifty – The Delrhonda Hood Story is set for September 30.
Remy Ma takes on the role of the notorious queenpins
Delrhonda “Big Fifty” Hood, played by Remy Ma, is her first lead role. Durrell “Tank” Babbs, Ta’Rhonda Jones, Pretty Vee, Michael Anthony, and Mike Merrill round out the cast. Big Fifty is narrated by the real Delrhonda Hood. She’ll play a role in telling the narrative of her prior life as one of Detroit’s most notorious queenpins, as well as her journey to rehabilitation.
Russ Parr, an award-winning radio broadcaster, directed the film. The screenplay was written by Gabrielle Collins. Remy Ma also wrote the Big Fifty title single, “The Godmother.”
While Remy Ma’s role as the main character in Big Fifty is his first, the Bronx native has previously acted on the USA Network drama Queen of the South. Her previous tv appearances feature Love & Hip Hop: New York and Remy & Papoose: Meet the Mackies.
Remy Ma was revealed as the host of an eight-episode reality show by another ViacomCBS brand in July. My True Crime Story, a VH1 original series, premiered in August.
