Adidas x Pharrell Release “Human Race” Sneakers
Too many times, people are ostracized for the way they look. At a time like this, branding sneakers in a way that brings inclusiveness to the brand no matter the consumer is necessary. Fortunately, Pharrell and Adidas unveiled a rechauffe of Adidas Hu NMDs.
The Adidas NMD Hu sneakers (also known as Human Race) will soon release several new colorways for the sneaker style. The shoe design along with inclusivity associated with the brand is sure attract sneakerheads from all over.
HU NMDs are crafted from engineered mesh on the upper and feature “Human Race” in South Korean and Chinese characters on the forefoot. Included in the upcoming styled is a new N*E*R*D version of the Boost-cushioned midsole and multiple sets of laces.
The Fall 2020 collection consists of three colorways: “Dash Green”, “Sesame.” and “White.” The sporty shoe still provides an edge of style with a nice combination of color palettes. The right shoe features an embroidered N*E*R*D logo spelled out vertically with a Clear Mint heel tab and a Glow Orange liner, while the left shoe uses Chinese characters and flips the colors for a Glow Orange heel tab and a Clear Mint liner.
The sneakers launched globally on adidas.com Oct. 25 and retail price set at $220 USD. Below is a snapshot Pharrell posted to his Instagram earlier in the month in a pair of NMDs.
Back in 2014, Pharrell inked a long-term deal with Adidas. That’s a notable achievement from someone who once saved his first check working at McDonald’s to buy a discounted pair of Adidas kicks.
Pharrell continues to contribute musically to the industry.
Back in August, Pharrell teamed up with Jay-Z on a new track called “Entrepreneur.” This wouldn’t be the first time the two collabed to create music. Check out the “Frontin” music video by Pharrell and Hov from five years ago. Pharrell always brought a unique sound to urban hip-hop music and continues to provide that same uniqueness for the Adidas brand.
