Draya Michele is offering up a fervent apology for her offhand comments about rapper Tory Lanez and female rapper Megan Thee Stallion drama. Michele appeared on a podcast to make “predictions” as to what the situation was between Megan and her now estranged friend Tory Lanez. Michele compares the clash to former star-crossed lovers Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston‘s explosive past together.
“I predict that they had some sort of Bobby and Whitney love that drove them down this … type of road. I’m here for it. I like that. I want you to like me so much you shoot me in the foot, too. … I want you to like me so much that if I’m trying to get out the car, and you’re like, ‘No, sit your a** in the car,’ and I’m like, ‘No n***a, I’m getting out of the car.’ [He goes] ‘No you’re not!’ Bah-bah!”

The Texas rapper fired back to twitter to address the comments on her recent near-death experience. On Wednesday, Megan made it evident that the experience was not a joke.
“Dumb b*tch that sh*t ain’t f*cking funny who of jokes about getting shot by a n*gga … And f*ck all the h*e a** n*ggas making jokes about it too🖕🏾 I’ll talk about sh*t when I get ready.”
On Thursday, Michele went to her Instagram story to say sorry for her comments. She acknowledged her statements were wrong and apologized, addressing victims of domestic violence and abuse.
“I just want to take a min to address victims of domestic violence and abuse of any kind and just overall humans, I was wrong to insinuate that there is room for violence in loving relationships, or in any relationship for that matter. I was wrong to try to find humor or make light of the situation, and understand that my joking nature was damaging and hurtful. It was poor judgment and I deeply regret it. This is a sincere apology from me to everyone. It is always my intention to uplift women, and especially black women through my platforms, my businesses, and my words.”
Last Friday, Megan Thee Stallion went to her social media and updated fans on her current state of mind. She described how the Internet had discredited her experience and turned the whole situation into a joke and said that the experience had changed her.
“Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real-life hurt and traumatized.”
Megan Thee Stallion shared the important message on social media following mocking posts not only from Michele but from others like 50 Cent recently mocked her as you will see in his post below.
Tory Lanez Shoots Megan There Stallion
Around 4:20 am Sunday, July 12, police received a disturbance complaint call outside of a Hollywood Hills home. When the police arrived, witnesses told them there was a loud disturbance that they perceived to be an argument. Tory was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon.
Jail records show that Tory posted $5,000 bail and was released around 10 a.m. Megan would later confirm via Instagram that she was indeed shot in the foot and had to undergo surgery to remove the bullet. Lanez is being accused of intentionally shooting Megan because she was trying to leave, and he deliberately was trying to harm her.
