DSHH got an opportunity to interview the Motown reppa, and get to know her on a professional and personal level.

What’s the significance of your name?

“I’ve always been extra small, all my life people called me “lilbit” or “shorty” and still today I’m 4’11.”

What city do you hail from?

“I’m from Detroit Of course.  Born and raised. But I have southern roots.”

“My family is from South Carolina and I traveled back and forth from Detroit to South Carolina all my life. So in my music, I rep both. Because both are my home.”

How are you going to approach the game as an artist?

“Being different and being comfortable with being different. I sing and I rap and I dance. I’m a former gymnast as well.”

“And so I want to use all of this and put it in my music. I want to show people how to switch up their flo and to show that it’s okay to rap about this and turn around and “Sing” that’s how you gain for fans.”

Who are some of the artists and producers you’ve worked with for your new music?

“I’ve worked with “hustle Junkie beats”(producer for ugly money ent,) “Lyriq”( Detroit producer,) “Hotgirljade” (think it’s a game artist,” DJ drama, DJ Arod, and East Side Ivo.”

Whom would you say are your greatest influences in music today?

“Drake, I love that man. And Lil baby. also Lakeyah I think she is headed towards greatness and she gives me Detroit vibes.”

“I influence but the best and they are dope as far as staying top tier and switching they flo up.”

What are you bringing new to the game for the culture?

“A lot of dancing. I keep that in mind being that TikTok is where it’s at right now. A lot of creativity as far as music videos what I wear and my hair. And last but not least a lot of cocky sh*t.”

Explain your new single and what’s your current project?

“My single “no hook” is pretty much self-explanatory. It’s a song that has no hook. Me raw talking, straight bars.”

“Something light. My current project is my “ep” and it’s holding some dope songs that I can’t wait to release. I’m very excited about this because I’ve worked so hard and I’m still working hard on this project.”

So with the climate of today’s artists using ghostwriters, would you use any, and have you done any, for any artists out there now?

“Uh to each its own, I’m not saying sh*t that I ain’t write myself. And no I haven’t ghostwritten for anybody. Don’t plan on doing it either.”
