Mary J. Blige celebrated her 50th birthday on Monday (January 11th) in a safe fashionable style with a virtual party. The all-day zoom birthday bash had gospel singer legend Karen Clark Sheard sing “Happy Birthday” to Mary J. Blige.
Other famous attendees of the party included Missy Elliott, Common, and Gabrielle Union. Mary J. Blige then took time to thank everyone for the amazing party and for all the fun she had with one another, while other huge names wrote paragraphs in honor of her birthday.
Due to COVID-19, Mary J. Blige couldn’t have a big birthday bash without risking the chances of testing positive. Besides wishing her an amazing happy birthday, we also thank her for taking the safe route for her special 50th birthday.

American actress, director, producer, and activist Angel Bassett wrote, “Happy birthday, dearest darling Mary. I am so glad I get to live in a time and space where you exist… I am beyond thrilled that I have had moments to share the soft side of you and the exuberant side of you as well.”
While American rapper, actor, and writer Common shared: “You’re looking more beautiful, more vibrant, more in your greatness. You’re an inspiration. You’ve always been one of my favorite artists, and people I’ve gotten to connect with, in this whole business. And I always crushed on you when I was younger — when we were younger … You’re the queen.”
50 marks half a century, and in a women’s life age and looking good for your age means everything.
