Loon Reunites With Diddy Following Prison Release

This is the first time the former collaborators have seen each other since Loon’s July release.

It’s a Bad Boy Records reunion!

Loon, who is best known for his feature on Diddy’s two-part hit “I Need A Girl”, has finally linked up with Diddy again. Loon was recently released five years early from a “conspiracy with intent to traffic one or more kilograms of heroin” sentence. During his original 2013 sentencing, he faced 14 years behind bars, however, U.S. District Judge Terrence Boyle granted Loon an early release due to the pandemic.

Diddy posted “God is great. Welcome home. Get at me king,” following his release. Now the two friends have finally made time to see each other for the first time in nearly a decade.

“Everything is not what it seems,” Loon wrote in an Instagram alongside photos of the two. “After all that we’ve been through the love cannot be denied. We’ve traveled the world together, made millions together and at times we may not have always agreed, but by Allah, if I hadn’t experienced the things that we went through, I wouldn’t have become the man that I am today!”

Loon ended his music career in 2008 after converting to Islam during a trip to Saudi Arabia. He later changed his name to Amir Junaid Muhadith and lived in Egypt until his arrest and extradition in 2011.

Loon and Diddy go way back.

Loon and Diddy had some public issues before the former’s arrest, however, Loon told The Breakfast Club that the squabbles were all business and it never came between their friendship.

“My relationship with Puff, we had great fun and we got along swell,” he said, “But then some of the hiccups would come down to business. Especially business that’s already mandated and confirmed.”

Most of their disagreements apparently arose due to musical tastes and publishing money.

“I had a few heated moments with Puff,” Loon said. “I wanted to fight him. But I liked Sean John Combs; I wasn’t really a Diddy fan.”
