Lil Nas X Talks Gay Rapper Increase In Future

Top Of GQ’s “Men Of The Year”

As the hip-hop industry expands, Lil Nas X is definitely seeing some diversity in the future as far as gay rappers go.

This past year Lil Nas X has been doing extremely well with his music as a gay rapper, and he can add the top of GQ’s “Men of the Year” list to his list of achievements including pissing off homophobes and haters.

With his bold personality and colorful unique fits, many people don’t agree with his lifestyle solely because of his sexuality and his controversial album Montero.

Though the trolls are going to troll, they’re just giving him more funny content and posts to make.

His self-expression has always sadly been an issue to many homophobes, but he doesn’t let that get to him as a person or artist.

Lil Nas X Talks To GQ

Lil Nas X is introducing a greater diversity in the industry especially towards the future, which he mentions to GQ.

He explains how as we progress in the hip-hop industry, rappers like him will open up a brand new shift to welcome more LBGTQ+ rappers.

“The whole landscape is very hyper-masculine. I do feel like this newer generation of rappers who are coming in, and the ones who are here, are going to have to reshape their thoughts. Because change is happening. There’s going to be so many gay rappers. There’s going to be more trans people in the industry and whatnot. Ten years from now, everything that I’m doing won’t even seem like it was shocking.”

Lil Nas X has definitely made a lot of LGBTQ+  artists feel more comfortable stepping out into the scene, he hopes to make a long-lasting impact on the industry.
