Jeezy Launches a new podcast this week with iHeartRadio and Charlamagne Tha God.
Jeezy, the Grammy Nominated rapper and Dirty South veteran, has launched a new web show titled The (Re)Session Podcast by Jeezy. The podcast is made in partnership with iHeartMedia Radio’s The Black Effect Podcast Network, which is headed by Charlamagne Tha God.
The podcast is an eight-episode miniseries, covering themes and issues discussed on his upcoming album, Recession 2. Some of these topics include mental health, economics, prison reform, police brutality, grief, systemic racism, community, and spirituality. The first episode features an interview with New York Best-Selling author Tony Robbins, who told his life story and advised on how to overcome adversity in life’s challenges.

According to Jeezy, Charlamagne was the most obvious partner to help launch the new show. “As I make the next moves in my career, I can think of no better partner to help amplify my voice and expand my reach than my brother Charlamagne,” he said, adding that the famous radio personality “has built an incredible, groundbreaking brand in the media space.”
Jeezy Evolves Beyond Trapping Persona
Considering that Jeezy first came into the game with mixtapes such as 2006’s “Can’t Ban The Snowman”, his transition into the next phase of his career has been inspirational to everyone who follows. We have seen other evidence of Jeezy’s growth in his talk show Worth A Conversation. His willingness to discuss social issues is exemplary of what other artists can do with proper influence.
On November 20th, Jeezy will release Recession 2. The project arrives at a time of similar economic distress and social tensions as the first Recession tape. He has always given his listeners compellingly vivid content, vocalizing his unique rags to riches story. Jeezy is a perfect example of turning mistakes into positive momentum.
