Jay-Z Files For Trademark
It is suspected the rapper and businessman, Jay-Z may be starting a production company. He and his company just filed for a trademark application for “2/J.”
According to TMZ the purposes for the trademark application were due to “entertainment services in the nature of creation, development, and production.”
Future Production Company?
This move is bringing attention to the fact that the businessman is planning an even bigger project for a production company.
If this is true imagine the impact Jay-Z’s entrepreneur career will have on the hip-hop industry along with his recent investments.
Last week he even invested in Bitski, which gave the NFT marketplace a total of a $19 million boost in the funding round.
Jay-Z beginning a production company would honestly be no surprise, being he made so much off of Tidal which he recently sold to Twitter Ceo Jack Dorsey. He also made a large sum of money from his highly anticipated cognac with D’Usse.
He also has been involved in the film industry in previous years as well, a few years back in 2017 he produced a six-part docuseries called ‘Time: The Kalief Browder Story.” Shortly after he also produced “Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story.”
