J. Cole’s “The Off Season” Breaks 2021 Streaming Records

J. Cole did it once again and there’s so much to celebrate in the Dreamville camp. The record label’s leader, J. Cole has quickly skyrocketed to #1 in America with his latest album. As soon as The Off-Season, fans rushed to listen in which resulted in the album peak the Billboard 200 chart.

J. Cole is setting bars

With a large first-week unit of 282,000, The Off-Season has so far attracted the largest sales total for any Hip Hop project in 2021. The studio LP was second following Taylor Swift’s Fearless with 291,000 units in April. Additionally, J. Cole’s The Off-Season racked up 325 million on-demand streams in its debut week. J. Cole has set the new streaming benchmark bar for any album this year with this promising total.

“Sending a thank you from Rwanda! #1 album, I appreciate the love, I heard the noise from out here. The Off-Season means keep pushing yourself, I will do the same. ❤️❤️,” J. Cole tweeted in celebration now that he has six #1 albums in his catalog.

“The Off-Season really like that!!! I ain’t gon lie I don’t think any Cole project got this type of reaction and love especially from the people [whose] opinion I really respect. Can’t wait to see this live if we can figure out this touring with all the COVID regulations,” Dreamville co-founder, Ibrahim Hamad, tweeted as well.

Besides the fact J. Cole has made an immaculate comeback, the Off-Season was executive produced by J. Cole himself along with Ibrahim Hamad, and T-Minus. The album’s songs have several guest features which include 21 Savage, Morray, Bas, Lil Baby, and 6LACK. So far we are predicting several songs from the project will quickly top in the Top 10 of the next Hot 100 chart. This progress has already been shown with “Interlude” already peaking at #8.

Cole World: The Sideline Story (2011), Born Sinner (2013), 2014 Forest Hills Drive (2014), 4 Your Eyez Only (2016), and KOD (2018) are J. Cole’s other Number Ones on the Billboard 200. These listed albums have already been certified Platinum or higher by the RIAA, additionally, Born Sinner is 2x-Platinum and 2014 Forest Hills Drive is 3x-Platinum.

Nicki Minaj’s debut

We congratulate J. Cole’s success, but on the other hand, Nicki Minaj has been making headlines as well. On the Billboard Top 200, Nicki Minaj recently ranked #2 the re-packaged 2009 mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty and three new tracks. Ever since its debut, the album has so far made 80,000 units.

“80K wow. My 12 year ago self would be so proud. No videos, lyric videos, no tik tok challenges, no radio & no heavy playlisting due to it coming as a surprise. Didn’t even drop w|clean versions to the songs. Long live #BeamMeUpScotty I love you guys so much. Thank you so much🥲🦄,” Nicki Minja tweeted.
