Beyonce is aging like fine wine…the legend has turned 40 today and even though her birthday isn’t an official holiday, we’re celebrating it like a big one! Fans of Beyonce are turning up for the Queen’s birthday in an all-out tribute to the one and only. In honor of her 40th birthday, we will be rewinding back to the “best of Bey.”
Homecoming: A Film by Beyonce
Of course, we gotta mention the highly accolade documentary, “Homecoming: A Film by Beyonce.” The widely known film gives an insider of the two-night performances at Coachella in 2018. Beyonce gave it her very all with her Bey magic made both performances unforgettable all in two nights. It’s known as one of the most famous and energized performances ever seen at Coachella when she was featured in the 2018 festival.
Thankfully the queen blessed those who were too broke to buy the tickets (*cough**cough* me) with an entire movie that featured performance highlights and special behind-the-scenes footage of her rehearsals for the show. THANK YOU BEYONCE!
If you told me you never listened to a Beyonce song at least one, my first thought would be you’ve been living under a rock. So for those who ACTUALLY haven’t, I’m about to put y’all on.
The first song to definitely listen to is “Lemonade”, a soothing, compelling mix of visuals, expressed words, disclosures, and powerful lyrics. What makes “Lemonade” so interesting is the fact it was released based on the bitter marital problems between Beyonce and her superstar husband, Jay-Z, which lead to a sweet success (they’re ok now, so please don’t come attacking me.)
Many elements of race, culture, and feminism also played a huge part on the highly praised track.
Beyonce has had a huge share of collaboration this year, we congratulate her for never resting and always getting her bag. She’s released her Icy Park collection for Ivy Park x Adidas, where all of her designs were bold, sexy, and eye-catching.
Beyoncé modeled a look from her Icy Park collection for Ivy Park x Adidas just for fans to get a little taste of the new collection. Additionally, she and her husband Jay-Z have collaborated with Tiffany & Co where she became the first black woman to ever wear the yellow Tiffany Diamond.
