Ghostface And Raekwon Verzuz Battle

Ghostface Vs. Raekwon

Another Verzuz battle took place and this time it is the Wu-tang Clan Raekwon and Ghostface facing off.

This was a very memorable faceoff because unlike the many other performances they shared the same stage.

Yes, this may seem like not a big deal but the two are in the same group that shares a very similar flow and style. It is nice the 2 can celebrate each other’s accomplishments with this small detail.

Like I said before the performance was very memorable, there was never a dull moment things just kept happening. There were even appearances from RZA and Cappadonna.

It was a nice competition, during round one the songs “Nutmeg,” “Ice Cream,” “Incarcerated Scarfaces,”   “Cherchez La Ghost,” “Criminology,” were performed. In the 2nd round, Raekwon performed “C.R.E.A.M,” as Ghostface goes away only to come back in with a grand entrance with a luxurious fur coat while performing “Holla.”

Some other songs performed were:  “Daytona 500,” “Glaciers of Ice,” “Run,” “One,” and “Back Like That,” “Never Be The Same Again,” “Summertime,” and “Can It Be All So Simple.”

RZA Verzuz

Last year back in April RZA went head to head with DJ premier. He talks about how these battles are significant to celebrate Hip-Hop culture

“This is something we’re doing for culture,” RZA tells complex“People could take it as a fight, a battle, whatever they want, but it’s more about us celebrating the culture of hip-hop. I’m a big fan of DJ Premier.”

“This is a momentous occasion not only for Verzuz and Triller but the music business as a whole,” Swizz and Timbaland say.

“By putting Verzuz in the Triller Network ecosystem and expanding the Verzuz brand to be side by side with the powerful Triller app, we will be able to continue to grow and evolve the music business as a whole, as we have been doing.”
