Frank Ocean continues to make breakthroughs in the music game as an R&B sensation. After the release of the most praised albums Chanel Orange and Blonde, Ocean is now ready to launch his luxury brand Homer.
Frank Ocean makes his first announcements
On Friday (August 6), Ocean posted on Instagram which displayed the launch of Homer while also shooting for Financial Times magazine. According to Pitchfork, Frank Ocean plans for Homer’s first collection to include a variety of handcrafted jewelry and unique printed silk scarves. All items will incorporate recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel, 18-karat gold, and lab-grown diamonds.
Over the weekend, Frank Ocean posted another separate Instagram Story where he described more about the brand, sharing Homer is a “passion project three years in the making that allowed him to tap into his soul.”
Thanking those who supported him
“Hand on my heart, this project has kept my mind moving and my imagination turning throughout it all,” Ocean wrote. “All of my work now is dedicated to my family. Everything. My hope is to make things that last, that are hard to destroy, set it in stone. I’m so fucking happy for everyone involved and I admire you and am proud of you and couldn’t have done it without you.”
Additionally, he added, “Everybody who came to California when we had no lights and no water and no chairs or desks and built this all from nothing with me. I wanna say thank you for believing in my vision and taking a part in this story from the bottom of my heart. This is 3 years in the making and there is so so much I’m excited to share with all you strangers. Love.”
Besides his recent shootings for the cover catalog and product for Homer,Ocean has recently collaborated with “Nikes” music video director Tyrone Lebon on campaign imagery for the launch.
