If you love antiques and celebrities prized possessions…today is your lucky day that you’re finding out the shoes Kobe Bryant wore for his FIRST EVER NBA game can now be yours! Auctioneers are now putting the pair up for bids…all for half a milli lying around — ’cause the iconic kicks are hitting the auction block!
Kobe Bryant in his moment
Let me describe what was going down at the famous momma of these shoes: It was November 3, 1996, when Kobe Bryant arrived on the court for the L.A. Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves where he was scoreless in just 6 minutes of basketball history off the bench.
Kobe Bryant wore a custom pair of size 14 Adidas kicks as he played on the court for the first time in an actual game. Years later Kobe Bryant made the decision to give the famous pair of adidas to a diehard fan outside The Forum after the game.
And then a FEW MORE years later, that diehard fan coincidentally ran into Kobe Bryant again and got The Black Mamba to sign them outside the team’s hotel. Now the fan wants to profit off his shoe ventures by putting them up for auction on Gotta Have Rock And Roll.
So far we know these sneakers will be given away with a ticket stub from the game and they are definitely NOT gonna be cheap. Their minimum bid is at $100k and may sell up to $500k.
Even Kobe Bryant isn’t with us anymore, he created a legacy of being a 5-time champ, he’s ranked 4th all-time with 33,643 points, and became one of the greatest players to ever play basketball.
The bid begins on Wednesday!
