From tattoo shops to owning his first home and LOVING IT!
Over the past eight years, we’ve watched the star of VH1’s Black Ink Crew, Ceaser, go from owning his first tattoo shop in Harlem (NY) to owning multiple shops across the states.
And on Friday, we were able to witness a huge milestone in Ceaser’s life. He purchased his first home in Atlanta with his girlfriend and realtor Suzette.

The journey from building credit to purchasing a home
Suzette, Ceaser’s girlfriend, stated on her Instagram post that when she first met Ceaser he had ‘no credit’. He had a credit repair company attempt to restore his credit; however, it went from nothing to nothing. Being the credit specialist of the relationship, Suzette let him know she couldn’t date someone with bad credit, so she set out on a journey to help him get back on his feet.
“He also never really thought about home ownership. I drilled the importance of both in his head everyday and started showing him houses,” stated Suzette.
After working with a lender, Ceaser’s credit score went from ZERO to 780. The couple found the home of their dreams two months later. After a few obstacles and a few more months, they closed on their first home in Atlanta for half a million dollars.
“Thank you @ajadholman For your AMAZING team who made it happen ! We now have the space we need for ourselves and our daughters and more importantly we’re giving our daughters a structured two parent home while we build generational wealth!”
Building an empire known as “Black Ink”
We first met Ceaser, whose real name is David Emmanuel, in 2013 on VH1’s Black Ink Crew. The show follows the daily life and drama at the Harlem, N.Y., tattoo shop. Over the past eight years, the cast has grown and so has the empire. Ceaser has opened up multiple shops between New York, Atlanta, Philly, Orlando, Indianapolis, with more opening in the near future.
We at DirtySouthHipHop wish Ceaser and Suzette continued success with their businesses and relationship.
