Since the release, Bill Cosby has been with his legal team in a potential lawsuit against Montgomery County.
Bill Cosby vs. the legal system
Sources close to Bill Cosby say, his wife, Camille, and he are enraged for the fact he’s been incarcerated for the last 3 years, and they’re now exploring his options for legal support. These options include as much damage as suing the county in Pennsylvania where he was tried.
Additionally, Bill Cosby and his lawyers are currently seeking a lawsuit for abuse of process, which is just one of the several options that are available.
In legal terms: abuse of process indicates the inappropriate use of a civil or criminal legal process for a capricious reason. This all means, Bill Cosby will be able to argue the prosecutor purposely abused the criminal justice process to sue him, notwithstanding that it means they are breaking a promise to Cosby from the previous District Attorney.
According to other close sources, Bill Cosby was freed from prison this Wednesday after Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court overturned his conviction. He was freed because it directed he should’ve never been criminally prosecuted based on the arrangement he made with former Montgomery County D.A. Bruce Castor.
Since his bailout, he thanked all of his supporters even though the court decision didn’t have any advantage to his innocence or guilt.
He says, “I have never changed my stance nor my story. I have always maintained my innocence.”
