2 Chainz Drops New Visual
Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz dropped his visual for “Southside Hov” from his recent project So Help Me God! and fans are loving it!
The rapper was hoping to get a collab with the famous well-known Jay-Z for the album, however, it did not go as he planned it to. Even though he has given up, that never stopped him from honoring Hov for all his work in his track “South Side Hov.”
The visual has a theme of only black and white. Although only two colors, the visual has many different backgrounds throughout the video such as Teslas, mysterious dark clouds, and the sky. You will even see him standing in front of a projector-like screen that has numerous different photos flashing by.
Communicating With Jay-Z
2 Chainz talked about reaching out to Jay-Z and sending out his visual. He also talks about how the conversation was positive even though there will probably not be a collab in the future.
“Me and Hov cool so I sent him the video when I did it,” 2 Chainz mentions. “Just to show him the angle that I wasn’t trying to be him, but since it was a Hov sample and the things that I was talking about in the song was some Hov stuff, so I named it ‘Southside Hov.’ He was like, ‘I’m humbled by it.’ It was a cool back-and-forth we had.”
The rapper then mentions how he has given up on possibly having a collab, and he won’t be trying again.
“As far as trying to get him on something, I’ve given up on that part, I don’t like rejection. I got this little mental thing, people that I deal with don’t even know this, where I might ask somebody something three times over my whole life and secretly, after the third time, I won’t ever probably ask again,” 2 Chainz says.
